“My three-year-old daughter had a truly wonderful experience at Laurence’s French immersion summer camp! From the very first day, it was clear how much care and thought Laurence puts into every aspect of the program. She created a warm, nurturing environment where my daughter felt safe, happy, and excited to return each day. One of her favorite parts of camp was the incredible art projects. Each day, my daughter brought home something new and beautiful, and was very proud of her creations!”

“Our younger son attended a week long camp at Le Marmouset. At 19 months, he was happy to follow along older kids in an environment that’s a dream for children. Laurence has well thought-out, varied activities, balanced and delicious homemade meals. We are delighted with her care and would recommend her to other families!”

Parent of Oscar

“Laurence was a dream for my sensitive little boy. He felt comfortable and cared for while also gaining a new friend. I trust Laurence with my everything, mon petit Chou! I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a French immersion and a nurturing place for your sweet babies. We can’t wait to go back. She’s such a sweet person that she even made me feel comfortable and encouraged to try the French I know with her. So don’t wait, send your children with Le marmouset! My son came home excited and enriched with new french words. I could hear him quietly trying to practice. You won’t regret it!”

Fall 2026 Interest Form

Bonjour!

Thank you for your interest in Le Marmouset.

You are welcome to leave your contact information below so I can reach out and begin scheduling visits in February for the program starting in Fall 2026 (August 9th, 2026).
Please note that your child must be at least 18 months old when the program begins.

My philosophy is deeply rooted in a play-based, child-centered approach that incorporates STEAM and an emergent curriculum in early childhood education. I encourage you to visit the Blog section to learn more about my values and the type of learning environment I strive to create.

My goal is to offer a high-quality, play-based French immersion program with a low child-to-teacher ratio, nurturing each child’s overall development and academic growth. The program is guided by the California DRDP  (Desired Results Developmental Profile) framework.

Bienvenue

Le Marmouset is a warm, a French immersion home-based program in Santa Rosa where children learn through play, imagination, nature, and nurturing relationships. Rooted in evidence-based practices and the latest research in early childhood development, the program offers a thoughtful, high-quality environment designed to support the whole child.

Approach

Bilingual Immersion

At Le Marmouset, children learn French and English naturally through play, songs, and stories every day.

Play-Based Learning and Emergent Curriculum

Hands-on activities inspire creativity and social skills, while our emergent curriculum lets children’s interests guide their learning journey.

Nature & Nutrition Focus

From garden to table, kids explore nature and enjoy healthy, homemade meals.

Hand Holding

Partnering with Families

I believe in building strong, supportive relationships with parents to create a nurturing community where every child thrives. I send updates  to keep parents connected and involved in their child’s experience, curriculum and development. I also participate in the California DRDP assessment program.

Meet Your Educator

Bonjour!
I am a Paris, France native, born and raised just five minutes away from the Eiffel Tower. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Languages from Sorbonne University and a Master’s Degree in International Business.
After more than ten years in the technology industry, I wanted to apply my love for research and innovation to support young, developing minds. My curiosity about early childhood education began when I became the mother of two energetic boys, and my goal has been to raise emotionally healthy and resilient children.

Two years ago, I started a podcast where I interviewed parents about their experiences with parenting. Over time, this led me to research early childhood development best practices, those that spark curiosity, encourage collaboration, and create emotionally rich and safe environments for children.

I am currently taking Early Childhood Education classes and completing my training at the Santa Rosa Junior College Children’s Center, where I was warmly welcomed by Sheila in the Maples Room (ages 2–5), a Master Teacher with over 20 years of experience. In Spring 2026, I will complete my Curriculum Practicum in a toddler classroom to ensure I receive well-rounded training across all age groups.

Saying that this path has changed my life is an understatement. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to observe children’s natural curiosity each day, to nurture and stimulate their growing minds, and to build meaningful relationships with them, their families, and the wonderful teachers I work with.
